School Policy & Conditions of Registration
Notice
-
Half a term’s notice is required in writing to Ewell Dance should your child wish to withdraw from any class or from the school. Failure to do so will result in being liable to pay one full half term’s fees.

Should any pupil wish to discontinue any class or leave the school, refunds for any unused classes will not be given.
Fees
-
Invoices will be emailed before the end of the previous term. Payment is due during the first week of term. A 10% surcharge is added for payment not paid by half term

Cheques should be made payable to Claire Sibley.

There is no refund for missed classes.

On the very rare occasion that Ewell Dance has to cancel classes no refunds will be given. The classes will be rescheduled. This may be on a different day or a different time or both from when the class was originally scheduled, and might involve an extension to the term time dates. No refunds will be given in this case.
Medical

Please inform Ewell Dance of medical/physical condition that your child has. (This information will be treated as confidential).
Behavioural Issues

In the instance that your child’s behaviour child is disruptive to other pupils or staff, teachers or venue staff, we reserve the right to exclude your child from any activity within the school.
Responsibilities

Additional exam rehearsals may be required if a child wishes to take an exam. Students will only be entered for an exam when the teacher considers them to be ready.

Ewell Dance makes every reasonable effort to ensure that your children are dancing in a safe and comfortable environment.

Parents or guardians are responsible for seeing your child into and out of the class. Please ensure that the teacher is present in the hall. Do not leave your child unaccompanied.

Please ensure your child knows that In the case of you being late your child must return to class and inform the teacher.

Hands on correction are sometimes necessary to correct dance technique. This will always be conducted with professionalism.

Ewell Dance is inclusive does not discriminate against background, race, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity.

The school regularly monitors staff to maintain school teaching policies and adheres to Health and Safety procedures to ensure that each child dances in a class appropriate to their level of development.
Parents watching

Parents are invited to watch classes on the last week of term. Term dates are available on our website and on invoices. Parents may take photographs during watching week, only if all parents present give verbal consent. If you do not want other parents photographing during watching week – please let us know.
Clothing

All pupils are required to wear the correct uniform for their classes.

Hair should be neat and tidy at all times.

No Jewellery.
Other

Use of photographic images: The school may like to display or publish photographs of dance classes, rehearsals or shows on our website or other promotional material. All photographs will be strictly anonymous. Please let us know if you do not consent to this.

PRIVACY POLICY
The privacy of your personal information is very important to Ewell Dance. This policy explains the way that Ewell Dance collects and uses your information.
We will ensure that the privacy and security of your information is protected at all times. We will not sell your personal information to any third party.
HOW DOES EWELL DANCE USE MY INFORMATION?
Upon registering your child for classes at Ewell Dance, we will collect information such as student names, guardian names, addresses, emergency contacts, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, birthdays, medical conditions, and any comments relating to the student and their learning. This information is required in the day to day management of the dance school and the students’ learning experience and will not be used for any other purpose.
Ewell Dance will use personal information to keep you up to date with news about new classes or existing classes that may be of interest to you, changes to timetabling, school performances etc.
Images from school performances will be kept by Ewell Dance and may be used in marketing materials and on the school’s website. Consent will always be sought and obtained for this.
Data is kept for 10 years for tax auditing purposes.
WHO HAS ACCESS TO MY INFORMATION?
Claire Sibley, Principal of Ewell Dance has access to your personal information to manage the studio business. Other Ewell Dance teaching staff have access to your emergency contact information only.
Occasionally it will be necessary for Ewell Dance to access your personal information and share it externally. Examples of this are when we share information with examination bodies such as the ISTD when booking exam sessions, or with local authorities when obtaining licenses for live performances.
