Miss Claire – Principal. She / her

 

BA (Hons) LRAD ISTD CDE ISTD DDE DIP BBO (TQL6) ATS RTS QTLS.

 

Miss Claire trained at the Royal Academy of Dance gaining her BA (Hons) in the Art and Teaching of Ballet and Licentiate for excellence in ballet teaching. She has a Certificate of Dance Education and a Diploma in Dance Education from the ISTD and a Diploma in Dance from the British Ballet Organization. She is a qualified to teach Acrotrix Acro.

 

Miss Claire has been teaching for twenty years in London and New York. She teaches with the world famous Tring Park School for Performing Arts. She has taught at Italia Conti Theatre School and was a Choreographer at The National Youth Ballet.

 

As a Choreographer Claire has devised a version of Petrushka for the Wimbledon Music Festival, making innovative use of puppets and projections and working with dancers from ENB, Matthew Bourne and Rambert. Whilst living in New York Claire worked as a Teacher with Rockland Youth Dance; her students starred in Broadway's Mary Poppins.

Claire has been a Mentor for trainee teachers on the Royal Academy of Dance's Professional Dancers Teaching Certificate. Claire regularly has trainee teachers with the ISTD assist her to complete the teaching hours need to gain the Diploma in Dance Education.

​

Claire has also taught at Central School of Ballet and London Theatre School.

​

Claire has her DBS check, first aid, safeguarding training and chaperones license.

Miss Fran - DDE ISTD RTS - Teacher She / Her


Fran started dancing when she was 3 years old at Laine theatre arts, when she was 16 she then attended the London Russian ballet school in clapham full time for 3 years where she trained in ballet, pointe, character, and Pas de deux, Fran done numerous shows a year with the school in theatres around London and in primary schools. Fran has her Diploma in Dance Education in Ballet with the ISTD.

 

She is DBS checked, safeguarding trained and first aid trained.

Miss Imy - Teacher She / her​


Imy started her dance career at 3 years of age, at Tracy Quaife Theatre Dance School, Nottingham. There she progressed through many exams, including Advanced 1 Ballet and a Level 3 IDTA Diploma, gaining distinctions in all.  She also competed in many dance festivals and TDCI Championships, and was awarded numerous trophies, and Championship placings. 

At 16 Imy studied full time at Studio 79, Leicester, in Performing Arts (Dance), and is currently studying for a BA(Hons) Musical Theatre Degree at Laine Theatre Arts, in Epsom.

Imy has a love of teaching and performing. She has performed in numerous productions, pantomimes and at many dance conventions, and has worked with numerous professional choreographers. She has taught children aged 3 to 17 years old, and loves to follow the progress that each child makes.

She is DBS checked and safeguarding trained.

Miss Yasmin - BA (Hons) Teacher She / her

​

Miss Yasmin studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance gaining a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance. Prior to that she studied at the Royal Academy of Dance. 

 

Yasmin has previous choreography experience, supporting a local junior school with their performances at the Epsom Playhouse for several years. Yasmin has previously taught and choreographed at Ewell Dance.

​

Yasmin has her DBS, First Aid, Chaperones License and is Safeguarding trained.
